About lil ol' me

The yap:

Hiii! I'm Grandpa . . . I usually go by that sobriquet online, which is loosely an etymological joke based on my name. :-) My actual name's Aki (it's of Old Norse origin—just an fyi). I'm also known as "cumulusbunny" online, and as "papermariotwink" on Instagram (my IG is literally just for photo dumps)!!! Additionally, just for fun, I'm "AobaSeragaki" on MyFigureCollection.

I'm a queer 27 y/o Canadian twink, born and raised on an island in the PNW. I'm also gayfully married to a man (#yaoimarriage)—we've been together (in a relationship) for nearly a decade.

As a person, I consider myself to be silly and somewhat eccentric, but I'm quite introverted and reserved as well . . . I do like to try new things and visit new places, as I'm very open to new experiences, in spite of my demeanor.

My interests that aren't related to the web
(the grass has not only been touched, but traversed):

I enjoy travelling, walking (yes, literally just walking—the most I've walked in a single day for no particular reason is 25+ km), hiking, swimming, playing instruments (guitar and violin), trying new things (as mentioned previously), and cosplaying (albeit I'm a total noob and I've only cosplayed once thus far).

I'm also incredibly fond of amateur photography, nature, the outdoors, cute stuff, Sanrio, the colour pink, rainbows, bunnies, cats (and animals in general), tattoos (I have 19), coffee (and local cafés), sweets, pineapples, mangoes, anime/manga, cartoons, video games, board games, and linguistics.

My interests page goes over my media-related interests. :-)

Digital footprint? I'm wearing shoes!

Grandpa's Internet History:

I've been using the computer to play computer games since the early 2000s . . . stuff like, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, Pajama Sam 3, Sally's Salon/Spa (I abused tf out of the free trial versions), Webkinz (!!!), etc.

I've been using da interwebz/social media since I was 11 y/o (2009). I was involved in the original Littlest Pet Shop and Webkinz YouTube communities back in the day (as well as the Fred (the YouTuber) community??? I was BESOTTED w/ him). YouTube was honestly cool back then and YouTube channels were customizable (akin to early MySpace)—unlike now. Back in my day *shakes fist at a cumulus cloud*, social media used to be fun . . . and some computer games were packaged inside cereal boxes. 👴🏻 Ok, that's enough, Grandpa.

I was also a lil emo/scene kid, and to this day, I'm still enamoured of alternative styles. Unsurprisingly as well, I was (and still am) a huge fan of early internet spaces/MySpace-esque websites. Also, early 2010s Tumblr. Hence, my attempt at Neocities/a personal website, inspired by all three of the aforementioned websites. :-D
